Deleted messages that don't go to my Deleted Items folder

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Brian Tillman for solving the disappearing
deleted messages problem. It seemed as though the emails that I read and then
deleted were not being sent to the Deleted Items folder. Many other users
had this same problem/question. I hope they read Brian's response.

After reading several suggestions as to why deleted items seem to just
disappear, many of which were too technical to understand, Brian's response
solved my problem. It was just a matter of changing the View in my Deleted
Items folder from Unread Messages to "Messages". So simple!
