About a month ago, my Deleted Items folder started taking a very long time to
empty. I am using Outlook 2007 with SP1 and updated all the way to KB952142.
I am not sure whether an update caused this because the control panel does
not display the date of the updates. By happanstance, or perhaps not, this
all seemed to occur about the same time I installed MS OneCare. To give you
an idea, to delte just 10 items could take a minute. In the past I was able
to delete 700 items from the Deleted Items folder in about 10-15 seconds, now
it take 10-15 minutes. I am using XP Pro with many many updates...all the
way up to KB944338-v2. These updated were also installed about the time I
started have the problem although I can't say specifically right after.
OneCare causes Windows Update to begin so I got alot of updates on 9/12/08.
PLEASE HELP! THANKS!....PETER L
