I cannot permanently delete most of the items in my Deleted file. I found
that other folks have had the same problembut can find no solution- see
below. How do I get HELP?

deleted message and cannot empty them, I keep getting an error message: The
message interface has returned an unknown error, If the problem persists,
restart Outlook. I restarted it numerous times and I still can't delete the
messages. Also I have two messages stuck in the Outbox, I have followed the
instructions and worked offline, but it still doesn't work. Help Please

same issue. Does anyone have the answer?

Try running the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe) against your *.PST file(s)
to rule out any corruption. (Note: You have to close Outlook 2007 and then
use scanpst. Once done, then start Outlook 2007 and try deleting/emptying
the deleted items folder.)

Thank you , this sounds like it might help. I reinstalled Office and did a
Repair but that did not correct the problem, it must be a PST file
corruption. How do I find the Inbox Repair Tool? Jeanne
