Deleted guestbook, but spam still creating new log in Private folder

I got tired of spam in my guestbook so I deleted it and deleted the log file
in my private folder. I continue to get spam with newly created guestbook
logs, so I changed my password. It still happens. I have deleted the newly
created guestbook, logs several times today. All I can figure is that
someone copied my guestbook page form and is using it to post spam, even
though there is no guestbook page on the site. Is this possibly the case?
Anyone have a suggestion?
Rusty

I can't answer specifically for a guestbook, but I get about 100 spams a day, and I have done everything I can so that my address
can no longer be extracted

I guess it is a case of:
"Once spammed, always spammed"

I don't want to get rid of my current address - it is in too many (legitimate) places to change -so all I can do is use a spam
detector which redirects spam to my Deleted folder. Unfortunately, while those in the Deleted folder *are* spam it can't pick up
everything and I still get quite a few in my Inbox.

Hopefully they'll realize my guestbook no longer exists and quit using my
form. My only guess is someone is keeping a local copy of it on their
computer. None of their links are valid, and get the same "Removed From
Server" message. The guestbook has been completely deleted from my website
(not just re-named).
I'd be interested to know if anyone thinks there's another possibility.
