deleted emails keep coming back

Why do I keep getting back my emails that i have deleted. Not all of them but
quite a few come back. i delete them and empty my deleted items folder , and
next time i check my emails they come back. I have deleted 3 times before
they finally actually go.

What version of Outlook are you using? What kind of e-mail account are
you using? POP3? IMAP? Exchange? Do you have Outlook configured to
leave a copy of the messages on the server?
