I was having problems with IE6 freezing up when it encountered java
and/or flash and, because I didn't quite know what I was doing, wound
up deleting (not removing) the shockwave and update class stuff in my
"Downloaded Program Files" directory (I'm using Windows 2000). Now, I
can't install flash for IE at all because Macromedia uses ActiveX to
install it and it just does nothing when I try to install. Also,
Automatic Updates isn't available anymore in the control panel. Is
there any way to restore these files? I attempted to pull them off an
identically configured machine but that didn't work.
