I accidentally deleted the Administrator user account. If I try to create it again from the new account with Administrator rights, I get the message "Name already exists" Don't care about the name, but how can I get back to the files that werer in Administrator My Documents

Thanks fo r any help

Hi,

it is not possible to delete "Administrator" account from Windows XP -- just
like other built-in accounts. I am guessing you are using welcome screen to
logon. When you get to logon screen press ALT+CTRL+DEL twice and under
username enter Administrator. Under password enter what you set when you
were setting up Windows XP -- you might have left password blank.

I hope this helps,

Mike

Unless you have XP home edition, then you need to boot in safe mode to
access the Administrator account
