My bad. Before I realized that my host (GoDaddy) only allowed one user
(the Admin user) on a subweb, I recklessly deleted the Admin user to
make a user slot. It seems I am screwed. GoDaddy says it's a Frontpage
extensions problem (which they don't/won't support). I am prompted for
a username and password to manage/delete the subweb, and my credentials
on the main web won't compute. I have reinstalled extensions a few
times, but the Admin user won't stick to the subweb. My desktop
Frontpage prompts for the password at publication and my ftp client
prompts for it. The barebones web ftp client on the GoDaddy Control
Panel lets me see and delete the files, but won't let me delete the
folders.

Anyone have a more brutal way of approaching this? Not the end of the
world (now I just publish not including the subweb), but I would like
to blow up this subweb just for a housekeeping item if nothing else.

They can't/won't re-do your admin un/pw on the subweb?
At the very least they should be able to delete the subweb for you...or time
for a new host?
