How to delete Windows password

This should do it:

1. Open the Run box and enter: Control Userpasswords2
2. Un-tick the box "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."

Try Start->Run
then type in
control userpasswords2
and then OK
Uncheck the "users require login and password" box.


See if this helps.

I reinstalled XP on my PC. It now has a windows password screen on startup.
There is no password, so clicking OK passes this. How can I eliminate this
screen?

Ok I did the run control userpasswords2 and I no longer have to pick a user.
But now when I start, I get a screen to input a password for administrator.
When I change it to user and click OK I'm at my normal screen. How can I
elimate this screen step, it wasn't there before I did the reinstall.

Re-run the "control userpasswords2" and this time put your user name in the place where they put
'Administrator'.

Just went there and don't see a place to replace admininstator.
