Aloha all. Ask Me.com has put a search window on my IE toolbar. I don't want
it, but can see no way to delete it. Right-click does not mention it. Help?

Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs... See if it is listed there.

IE6 or IE7?

View --> Toolbars --> if it is listed and checked, click on it to uncheck
it.

LMO,

Remove it like Shenan says via add/remove programs but make sure all Internet
Explorer windows are closed first. Plus, a reboot is 'sometimes' necessary too

A bit of overkill for this problem, but another useful application for
removing crap from the toolbar is ToolBar Cop. Go to this link - it is free.

http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/toolbarcop.htm

Hope this helps.
Martin

Hello,

If you are unable to remove it, Start IE. Tools > Manage Add-Ons and disable
the toolbar there.

Although in a different location.

In IE 6 SP2 it's at Tools > Internet Options, Programs tab

In that Programs tab is the "Manage Add-ons..." button

Yep, you're right. It's in two spots in IE6 SP2.

Thanks for the update :-)
