I accidentally used the Production database to do some testing in Access
2007. I imported an Excel sheet known as June 22 into a new table and linked
it to an existing table called AcctInfo table.

There is now a relationship between June 22 and the AcctInfo Table. I am
trying to change the Acct# field in Acct Info from text to number. It does
not allow because of the relationship between June 22 and AcctInfo Tables.

When I go into relationships and simply delete June 22 (it is unncessary),
it asks if I am sure I want to delete...after saying yes, it says I can not
delete---Record not deleted; no deletion permission on Msys Objects.

I think I should be able to delete a table. I understand if it has a
relationship, then I need to delete from within relationships, but why can't
I then delete.

I am the administrator.

Deleting the table *icon* doesn't delete the relationship. Instead,
view all relationships, and select and delete the *join line* - and
then delete the orphaned table icon.

This won't help with the MSysObjects error message though! That may
indicate that there is some systems table corruption. See
