I don't know why my PDA has 9 shortcuts to 1 application in folder
\windows\start menu\programs (default in INF install file %CE11%).
They named PDa, PDA(1), PDA(2),...PDA(8).

How can it happen and how to remove the redundant links?
Thanks

I seem to remember this happening if you try to move a shortcut from
the programs menu to the start menu when there's not enough room - or
if you try to install a shortcut in both places and there's not enough
room. Something like that, anyway.

Just delete the files, and all should be fine.

Thank you very much for your reply, but I don't know how to delete
these files, I've tried to click and hold for a moment(as delete
normal file) but it didn't appear the context menu !!!
Then I've tried to use FileExplorer, go to folder Windows\Start Memu\,
and nothing there (even Programs folder) !!!
Pls advise
Thanks

You can delete them from the desktop while you're using ActiveSync - or
delete them from code.

hi Jon,

I'm sorry but I can still not delete the shortcut even using Desktop
machine, Active Sync to browse Mobile Device, it is totally empty in
folder \windows\startmenu.
By the way, end user can not delete shortcut by code.

Thanks,
Khanh

I suspect there's an option somewhere to let you see the shortcuts. I
can't check it right now as I don't have a device or cradle with me.

No, but you never made it clear what you were trying to do. (In general
this group is used for code rather than end user stuff.)
