I have a problem with a user who is using Outlook 2003 with an exchange
server. All messages are delivered to a .PST file. He retrieved his message
headers while using a low bandwidth connection (tethered cell phone). He had
some sort of connection problem. Now his message headers are still in
Outlook, and he can't get rid of them. After synchronizing with the exchange
server, the messages headers are still there. He cannot delete them.

Running SCANPST didn't help. He is not using "Use Cached Exchange mode", if
that makes a difference.

Is there a file that can be deleted? Where are these headers stored?

He has to use "Purge Deleted items" on the Edit menu to remove them.
