How delete phantom messages that Outlook keeps trying to send?

's Computer Specifications

Every time I try to send from Outlook the toolbar tells me it is sending 1 of
3 or 4 even though there are no other messages in my outbox. I cannot find or
get rid of these"phantom messages". Help!
