How do I delete a password saved through prompting? I have a couple of
websites that prompt for a user name/pass. I did check to save the
login. Now the site passwords have changed and I can't figure out how
to make the sites prompt again so I can change them in the dialogue
box. I haven't found any cookies associated with the sites. Where
does IE save this information?

Thanks
Brett

For individual form autocompletes, you will have to highlight (select it) in
the dropdown list and then press the "Delete" button.
Or...
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2171...22120121120120
"How to use the AutoComplete feature in Internet Explorer 5 and 6".
1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Content tab.
3. Click AutoComplete.
4. Click the appropriate AutoComplete check boxes, or click Clear Forms or
Clear Passwords to clear all saved items from the appropriate AutoComplete
history.
5. Click OK, and then click OK.

Also see if this helps:

"How to clear the History entries in Internet Explorer".
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/260897/en-us

Try also...
CCleaner (freeware), from http://www.ccleaner.com/
About CCleaner, courtesy of Sandi Hardmeier - Microsoft MVP: "Be very very
VERY careful with CCleaner. We are seeing a lot of problems with that
software removing hotfix data making it impossible to uninstall IE7 and any
other hotfix/update."

And Free History Eraser:

The History folder can be deleted manually:

Open IE, select tools, Internet Options, Content, Autocomplete.
From there you can Clear Forms and Clear Passwords
You can also uncheck or check what items you want for autocomplete.

Thanks on the autocomplete. I also did Options | Security | Internet
(zone) | Authentication and set it to prompt for logins. All resolved.
