My son regularly downlaods music from Limewire. Somehow porn was downloaded
to "my music" as well. He tells me he didn't do it and that it happens a lot.
This time he said he couldn't delete it. When you right click on it, it
doesn't give you the option to delete. The only choices I have are: Play,
Import to photoshop, add to playlist, add to now playing, add to burn list,
add to sync list, open, and lastly, "send to" various places. That is all.
Have tried everything to delete including running spyware and virus software.
Nothing ereadicates this entry in "my music." Can someone help me?

Hi,
Try to delete the file in safe mode and locate the file and delete it.
If still no joy try to take the ownership of the file and delete it,, on how
to take the ownership read this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421
If still you can't delete download this tool from here:
http://www.ccleaner.com
http://www.purgeie.com/delinv/index.htm
Locate the path for the file and check the box for it and click on delete.
HTH.
Please let us know.
Regards,
nass

Downloading files with Limewire is asking for trouble. The amount of spyware
and viruses-riddled files that look real is enormous.

Thank you for replying to my problem. Unfortunately (for me), nothing seems
to remove this file.

Hi Terry,
Download this tool and run then send the Report to the Aumha Forum, don't
send it here because it's n't allowed.
Download the HijackThis from here:
http://www.aumha.org/free.htm
On the Aumha Forum there are Expts they will see the Log file and ell you
how to remove the entries for it.
Meanwhile try not to Access it as you can spread the problem on your system
if it was a New Virus.
Try do a scan online from here:
http://www.panadasecurity.com
http://www.trendmicro.com

You have two problems. One is the current infection, and the second is how
to prevent future infections. They will likely keep coming unless you stop
the conduit, ie file sharing using limewire.
