I have a notebook preinstalled with Vista. The email program I'm using is
'Mail'.
I'm wanting to delete Mail and install Outlook Express.

As the machine was pre installed I have no installation disk. (usual with
notebooks).

Is outlook Express downloadable?
And
How do I delete the Microsoft Mail?

M.

You are either using Windows Mail, (bundled with Vista), or Windows Live
Mail. (an add-on). Microsoft Mail hasn't been in use for more than a dozen
years. Regardless, Outlook Express will not run on any operating system
newer than XP.

You might look into Mozilla Thunderbird which is similar to OE.

Windows Mail?

You can't.

By the way, Windows Mail is essentially nothing more than the latest
version of outlook express, with a different name.

Thank you all for your replies.
Now I need to explain further and this is the reason I wanted to delete the
'MAIL' program.

When I click on links such as the one below:
http://www.driverrobot.info/contactus.html

I get this message and it's happening requently:

'Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not
properly installed'.

I have no idea what to do and thought by deleting 'Mail' and then
reinstalling it would fix the problem.
I'm also probably in the wrong newsgroup to ask to but don't know where else
to ask.

The Mail group, which is part of Vista groups.
Ensure Mail is set as default in Internet Options, and that Mail is shown in
Program Defaults
