For some reason vista created an ntuser.dat log 2 file it has 0kb and doesn't
look like it's needed for anything. So here is my question how do i delete
this log, because i can't delete it normally so where abouts is this file in
the registry to remove it?

Don't delete it!

It is a system file, used by Windows to maintain the user profile
(Ntuser.dat). Updates to profiles are written transactionally,
ntuser.dat.log1/2 is the transaction log for these updates. Even if it is 0k
it is being used. If you do delete it, you may damage your user profile
(that would be bad).

Hope this helps,

Ok, But why did it just appear today? It wasn't there yesterday.

No idea, it is normally created at the same time as the user profile. But
the important thing is that it is a normal system file, required for the
normal operation of your system.

Usually it is a hidden file, so users won't be tempted to do something like,
uh, deleting it :-) You must have "view hidden files" turned on.
