This one is driving me crazy. I have a user that can't get the delete
key to delete any message. I checked with another keyboard that is
functioning properly on another Outlook installation, but it didn't
change a thing.
I also created a new Outlook profile and ran Detect and Repair and
cleansweep to no avail.
It's a Win XP environment with Outlook 2000. In any other Office
program, the key is functioning properly.

If there is a solution to this short of uninstalling and reinstalling
Office 2000, I'd like to know.

Thanks to anyone that could help me out.

Just on the off-chance that the cache is messed up
I would try deleting ALL OST files...

Close Outlook
Search the hard drive for
*.ost
(be sure to search in hidden files)
Then delete it (or all that you find)
Open Outlook

A new OST file will be created when you open
Outlook.

Also you may want to look into the following possible solutions:

For more information on how to repair a damaged Personal
Folders PST file:
http://www.slipstick.com/problems/scanpst.htm

Also on that web page is the mention of a PST2GB utility
for cleaning up pst files that reach the 2gb (appx, give or take a few)
limit.

Thanks for your quick reply.
Tried the ost-file thing and checked the pst's as well to no avail.
Is there still anything else but a reinstall?

thanks in advance.
