Delete Files in User Profiles

I have a Windows 2000 network. All users have roaming
profiles. In the PROFILES$ folder on the server the users
have folders with large amounts of data in them. I want
to clear out these folders. Unfortunately, most of the
users have used several computers with their roaming
profiles. I have tried the "DeleteRoamingCache" routine
of article 173870, with no success. The folders are like
\profiles\username\cookies, \profiles\username\recent,
and \profiles\username\application
data\microsoft\office\recent. I can log on as the user
and APPARENTLY delete all the files in these folders, but
they reappear. Is there any way short of deleting the
entire user profile to clear these files?
