If I want to format a Xp embedded disc with EWF, I can delete EWF partition
only if I change the disc from static to dinamic, delete the volume and
change the disc from dinamic to static: at this point the disc seem to be
free.
Is were any other way to delete the EWF partition?

In the past I have used gdisk. For example, if the EWF partition is the 3rd
partition on disk 1 perform the following: gdisk 1 /del /p:3

We use an NT machine to set up our drives, as the disk
administrator on there shows all partitions the same size,
and so the EWF partition is visible and easily deleted.
