I have created a group list in Outlook with the wrong group name, and I
erased all its members to create a new one. However every time i open the
address book i still see the name of this erased group listed. My question is
how do i delete this name from the distribution list?

open the address book (tools/address book) / highlight the list name / press
delete key

First, Outlook has nothing called a "group list". Second, you never
manipulate contacts from the Address Book interface. Your contacts are int
eh Contacts folder. If you wish to delete a Distribution List, open your
Contacts folder, select the DL and press or click Delete.

This is a sign that you have misconfigured your Outlook profile.

I wish MS would get rid of that Tools / Options / Misconfigure Your Profile
menu.
