delete desktop backgrounds

I have downloaded some themese and then deleted them but
now I still have the desktop background on my system. I
want to delete them and I have no clue how to do it. Is
there some way I can do that.

You can't delete a wallpaper that is currently on your desktop. Change to
another wallpaper, and then delete the one you want to get rid of.

If, on the other hand, you downloaded the wallpaper "free" from the
Internet, you quite possibly now have spyware on your system.

To change to a different wallpaper:
Control Panel > Display > Desktop tab > Background

To delete a wallpaper file:
Right-click on the file and select Delete
