The Delete button deletes what is typed after the cursor. The Backspace
button deletes what is in front of the cursor. So from your description; it
works as it should.
Note that this is an Microsoft Office Outlook forum.
Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.
