hmm -- before I got a chance to write this, the question disappeared.

Anyway, if you are asking what I think you are asking, open the picture
in some image software such as Fireworks or Photoshop or PaintShop Pro.
Select the background you dont want using whichever selection tool(s)
are appropriate for the job at hand, and delete the background.

Delete the background from a picture?? You probably need an image ieditor to do that.

Or do you mean delete the background image in a page or table?

then go to the page and/or table properties and delete the path to the image.

How you do that in DW I don't know.
