As an alternative you can try Attachments Processor for Outlook
http://www.mapilab.com/outlook/attachments_processor/
After the file is saved on your shared folder, the attachment can be removed
from the message, replaced by a shortcut to the saved file. So you will be
able to open those files from Outlook messages as you ususal do.
