Delete appointment from still pop up

Dear all

I recently deleted contact using my pda phone and after sync, the reminder
pop up everyday. I cannot dismiss it or delete is (is already deleted from my
contact).

The message that appear when I pressed dismiss:
"Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again. Cannot locate
recurrance information for this appointment"

I have tried re-creating the same contact but still not working.

Please help
