HI Dear nass,

I have no spyware in my system.

Try installing Microsoft Office Outlook on ur pc, it creates a fixed
shortcut on Desktop which could not be deleted?

I am asking 4 dat kind of shortcuts; how can those fixed shortcuts created
by legitimate software be deleted?

Thanks,

Oc9ine.

You could check here: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\\namespace

The icons displayed on your desktop comes from two sources. Launch explorer
and navigate to "c:\documents and settings\All Users\Desktop" and
"c:\documents and settings\[user name]\desktop". Try directly deleting the
references there.

Those icons are in the notification area of the Taskbar. To remove
them, open the individual programs and somewhere in teir preferences is
probably an option to hide or remove them from the Notification (tray) area.
