HOW to delete address in "to" box

Need exact directions on HOW to delete in the "to" box under "new message"
when an address is no longer good. ie. I press b and all the b's come up.
Want to delete a particular address as no longer good but won't go away!
Send answers to (E-Mail Removed)

This question is asked and answered here daily or thereabouts.

Type "b". When the names appear, use the down arrow on your keyboard to
highlight the one you don't want. Use the delete button to delete it.

Do not post your email address here (or in any public forum or
newsgroup), as we do not do email support here.

However, spambots will very happily pick up your address...
