I just gave a user delegate editor permissions to Calendar and Contacts for
another user. i specified none for Inbox. But I can see the entire inbox of
the user. How can I modify this.

outlook 2003/exchange 2003

Sounds like you did it correctly but should double check.

1. Give user permissions to the mailbox.
2. Give user permission to the calendar and contacts.
3. Verify user has no permissions to the inbox.

Good luck.

Hi,

If I understood properly, the issue is: you give the user delegate
permission to only Calendar and Contacts folder, but the user can see the
Inbox folder.

Is that correct?

Based on my experience, this issue can occur because the change in
permissions does not take effect until the Outlook session that is running
on the delegate's computer is restarted.

To work around this behavior, have the delegate quit Outlook and then
restart it.

For more information, please refer to the following KB article:

289992 A change to delegate permissions does not take effect immediately in
Outlook
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;289992

Hope this helps! If you need further assistance, please feel free to let me
know.

Regards,

Leon Hao
