My spam filter performs it's task after all messages have arrived. Can I
delay an auto reply to avoid an email goin to a spammer?

You can set exceptions. Other suggestions depends on your mail configuration
which you did not post.

I am NOT using the Exchange Server. But, I am not opposed to switching. I
looked at the exceptions, and it is a possiblity. However, I have 50+
subfolders in my Inbox. Any way I can import the addresses from these
messages to the exceptions?

There is an option in the rules to select an entire address book.

I saw that. However, I am using Act! as my contact manager. I have over
3700 contacts in Act and I keep my Outlook contact file for personal
contacts. I have a very full Junk Email folder. If I am able to export the
from emails in that folder to the Junk Email list in Options - Junk Email -
Blocked Senders, I think I can make things work. Is this possible?

It is possible but it won't help you as the From addresses on Junk Email
Messages are usually used only once and then dropped. Keeping a list of
those From addresses is pretty much worthless. Also since they were already
caught by the Junk Email Filter automatically it doesn't make much sense
adding an exception which tells it to block it again.

I am using Spambayes as my spam software. I went ahead and placed those
emails in the exceptions. So far, so good.
