when printing from xp there is a delayed printing time of
about 10 secs. Have edited reg entry lpt_timeout from 15
to 3 secs which worked for about half a day, but is now
still delayed.

Any ideas?

Which operating system are you running, have same problem
with XP Home but not with XP Pro?
