One of our remote users, who connects via VPN, is receiving a Delayed Write
Failed error message sometimes when she saves documents to a mapped drive.
She doesn't get the error saving files to her local drive, however, and none
of our other 200+ users have had this issue. It all started when she got a
new PC, so we tried replacing the NIC, updating the firmware in her router
and replacing the cat5 cable she was using. No change. Now I did force her
NIC to use only 10MB half-duplex vs. automatic mode, and now she seems to get
the error 1-3 times a day rather than continuously.

She is using Windows XP Pro, SP2, with all updates applied, running the
Cisco VPN Client (going to a 3000 concentrator) 4.6.03.

The server she is saving documents to is a Windows 2000 Server box with
compresssed NTFS folders (maybe that has something to do with it?), SP4, and
all of the latest (as of this writing) updates installed.

I've scoured the internet and have read many articles on this issue but have
yet to find a solution. The closest match I've found is the article
referring to SMB signing, but, I checked the registry setting mentioned in
that article (enablesecuritysignature) but it was already disabled.
