Delay upon authentication

Some Windows XP Pro computers are taking up to 30 seconds
to connect to a Windows 2003 network upon
authentication. Once they are connected, all is fine.
Using DHCP, hardcoding DNS servers doesn't seem to help.
Any ideas?
