I've got a .msi file that always installs properly. On most computers the
Windows Installer Technology dialog boxes pop-up within a few seconds and the
install is off and running.
But on some computers, the initial Windows Installer Technology dialog boxes
take up to 30 seconds to appear. This often leads the end-user to think the
install hasn't started. If the end-user is patient enough, the Windows
Installer Technology dialog boxes will eventually appear and once they do,
the install works properly from that point forward.
Does anyone have any background information on the Windows Installer that
would explain why this delay occurs on some computers and not on others?
Thank you.
