When I go to a site like Expedia or another site that
requires me to type into dialog boxes there is a big delay
between typing and it showing up on the screen. Sometimes
the info does not show up at all and the whole screen
freezes and/or the page scrolls up and down by itself.
Sometimes the cursor stops blinking. Sometimes while on
Expedia if I clicked "continue" or "go" I would get
directed to a web search engine page instead. What's
curious about this is that when on MSN or checking my
email it is not a problem. Recently I removed some viruses
in my computer (Win98), Backdoor.Litmus.Gen,
Backdoor.SubSeven,and JS.Seeker. I have deleted temp
files, deleted cookies. Nothing seems to help. Any
suggestions?

Clearing the forms cache could help. There is also a hijacker that could
cause this. See http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers.htm#text_delay
