Hello All,
I have a Windows XP desktop on our factory floor. When this computer
boots, certain processes need to finish before users can click on icons,
start programs, etc. Unfortunately, this is not happening (users are
clicking on icons too quickly).

Is there a way to delay the appearance of the XP desktop via a setting or
GPO?

Thanks

Kick their stoooooopid asses until they freakin' learn.

BTW... I don't think you can delay the appearance of the desktop until
all process are loaded.

I came across this :
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...rv/reskit/rege
ntry/91589.mspx?mfr=true
or with Tinyurl
http://preview.tinyurl.com/34wwuy

So it seems that it could be done in Win2000, and I wonder if it would
work with XP?

Who me? I'm only using a single seat system and I don't know how to
monitor the process. I'd be interested though.
