Hi,

my customer has an Win2000 Server (SP4) with Exchange 2000
(SP3). As long as we used only stations with NTWS4 or
Win2000 Pro everything worked just fine. But now there is
a laptop with XP Pro SP1 and we have a little trouble.
Opening Office-Files (with MSOXPPro) on a mapped drive
takes up to 15 seconds until my customer can continue work
on this laptop. Then everything seems to be OK.
This laptop is configured just like the others. The only
difference is, that the OS is WinXPPro instead of
Win2000Pro. In addition, I have the same problem with
my new Laptop (which also has WinXPPro) in this network.
And also I had no problem, as long as I used my old laptop
with Win2000Pro. (BTW: My laptops are not member of the
domain. They are members of my own workgroup.)
It found out, that it is no rights problem, because my
account is member of Group Domain Admins.

Does anybody know this problem (an perhaps a solution or
a work-around ;-) )!

Please answer also direct to my e-mail account!

Sile
