We were infected by a counterfeit spyware program. We resloved that issue
yesterday, with help from Microsoft tech support. However, our computer has
been running a little slow, so we decided to do a defrag. When we get to the
point where we start to defrag, a little wondow pops up and says "unable to
start defrag". Any way to fix that..why is it doing that..??

Try starting in safe mode and defrag from there.

Try using JK Defrag instead. It's free and much better than Windows
defrag.

Defrag requires at least 15% free space to work. You might get this message
if there isn't enough free space.
