Run chkdsk /f

If that doesn't work, post to an XP newsgroup for help.

Click "Start", "Run" type "chkdsk c: /f" without the quotes.

A command prompt window will open, chkdsk will inform you that it can't run
with the /f option on a locked volume and will offer to run during the next
boot. Say "yes" to this and then reboot the computer.
