I saw that Your discussion is related to FSCTL_MOVE_FILE. I am
writting XP disk defragmenter and I have got stuck on a problem.
Please, help me, I know You can.
My problem is in defragmenting compresssed files, esspecialy those
from System Volume information\_restore ... folder.
Although I have managed to defragment and move 80 % of them ( by
moving 16 clusters blocks) I can not find general solution. I have
checked
www.sysinternals.com defrag, but no help. I'am trying to
concatenate following vcns from GET_RETRIEVAL_POINTERS but when I move
fragment to the end of previous fragment, other fragments change also,
so I can not catch it.
If You have some questions I will be happy to help, as the other part
of defragmentator is doing just fine.
