Now that I'm using XP and no longer have a current version of Norton
Utils, what's recommended for disk deframentation?

Thanks!

Normally diskeeper is one program that is mentioned but the one built
into windows is made by the same people so probably doesn't make any
difference using that product.

DIRMS and Buzzsaw are good and if you prefer a GUI that looks somewhat
like Diskeeper, you may find a copy of O&O Defrag around someplace. It
is no longer freeware but the old versions are still found online.

Sorry, no links. Google will pull them both for you.

I use Power Defrag. I don't have the link handy, but a Google search should
get it for you in no time.

Thanx...I am doing most of my posting from work (in my down time) since
my PC at home has a bad Mobo and my linux box is not configured yet for
usenet.

I appreciate the extra mile you go to tidy up our messy posts

IMHO, XP's own disk defrag program is quite capable.
