Having done a in place install of XP and SP2, I've got a problem with
Defrag.

If I click the Analyse or Defragment button on either drive, the
button responds, then comes back up after one second, nothing else
happens.

I've checked that the DCOM Server Process Launcher service is running.

Any suggestions?

Hello , Try the button in Safe Mode after running Anti Virus and anti spyware
scans . Check your "Downloaded Programs " folder for suspicious programs .
