Hi,

(I'm a layman looking for a defragger for a server w/ limited free space.)

According to the paper, PerfectDisk didn't fare well, particularly in the
"Workstation with Limited Free Space" and "Database Server with Intractable
Fragments" sections.

The newsgroups seem to favor PerfectDisk, particularly for their support.

I realize the paper/test was done by Winternals, who is selling Defrag
Manager. It seems legit...

Has any other "unbiased" person/company done a similar test w/ results to
share?

Chris

Chris,

Best best is to do a head to head comparision. Vendors have their own
agenda to push - it's all about marketing

I am very confident in PerfectDisk's abilities to defragment in environments
where other vendors simply can't - especially when it comes to low free
space!

Disclaimer: I work for Raxco Software, the maker of PerfectDisk - a
commercial defrag utility, as a systems engineer in the support department.
