Trying to run defrag. When it runs its scan it comes back with a failure
that it had a problem with a file in the "c:\\documents and
settings\xxxxxxx\temporary internet files\content.IE5\M5cbkhsr\techno_morph
250x250 [1).swf and then it cancels.

I have searched for this file and can not find it. I have done an advanced
search for this as a hidden file and can not find it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Gator,
It's a shockwave flash file for a browser animation by the look of it.
Can maybe suggest an advanced search using '**.swf' (without the quotes) to
try locate it, possibly using Safe Mode admin. account. to find and delete
it.

>Start/Search/type *.swf look at the listing of files

it finds and the one your looking should be listed.
Rightclick it to delete it.

The file exists. It's just that the "content.IE5" folder is hidden even when "Show
hidden files" is selected from Folder Options. Annoying, isn't it? Copy & paste
c:\\documents and settings\xxxxxxx\temporary internet files\content.IE5\M5cbkhsr\
in an address bar, then you will see the contents.

BTW, if Defrag returned with an error, right click on your Local Disk icon, select
properties, click on the Tools tab and choose Check Now.

Tony.
