I just installed registry repair software but now my defrag does not work. It
launches and the window opens but nothing happens when you select a drive or
volume.

Uninstall the software. If defrag still does not work, see if there is a
restore point available that is before the software installation.

Did you run it and allow it to do a repair? If so is there an undo? If so
undo the changes. It's best to avoid these registry "repair" programs.
They cause more problems than they fix. Uninstall the software and use
windows system restore to go back to a point right before the software was
installed.
