I run Diskeeper Pro V8. With very little activity on my system, the C drive
seems to get fragmented fairly easily. Is there a good write up on keeping
disks defraged with Diskeeper anyone knows of?

Dear Kent,

My name is Jeremy Buck and I work in the Tech Support department of
Executive Software, the makers of Diskeeper. I happened upon your
posting and wondered if I might be able to help.

It is surprising at actually how fast fragmentation appears on a
system. For instance a good way to check this is to not allow
Diskeeper to defragment your drive but continue to use it to Analyze
your volumes and you'll see about how rapidly fragmentation will show
up. The best solution to keeping your volume defragmented is to simply
setup Diskeeper on a scheduled operation. I would suggest using the
Smart Scheduling feature which will allow Diskeeper to run only when
it's necessary to keep the amount of fragmentation on your system
down.

To do this, simply open Diskeeper and select the Set It and Forget It
option. Once there, select the drive you'd like to schedule and then
establish your schedule for it.

That should keep it running qiute well.

Also, I hope you don't mind but I've recorded your comment for our
records and if you'd like to contact me based on this or would like
any further assistance, I'd be more than glad to help in any way I
can.

You can reach me at (E-Mail Removed) or 818-771-1600 x1505. The
ticket # with regard to this situation is 10128680.

Best Regards,

Jeremy Buck
