I've seen this problem a lot with Vista. Best chance is to just reformat
your disk and reinstall Vista.
I have a small business with a 6 PC's. Two have Vista and two have XP, one
still Win2K and the other has Fedora 7.
Vista is a very bloated operating system. It is far too complicated to play
around with a try and fix. Like a car, sometimes it's just better to dump
the old piece of **** and buy a new one.
Reformat and reinstall and life will be back to normal.
