Things you should know about the Windows XP Disk Defragmenter:
- Disk Defragmenter MMC is based on the full retail version of Executive
Software Diskeeper.
- The version that is included with Windows XP and later provides limited
functionality in maintaining disk performance by defragmenting volumes that
use the FAT, FAT32, or NTFS file system.
I never "expect" the disk defragmenter in Windows to get the drive 100%
defragmented. It sometimes does, but since it is a limited version of a
FULL product - I expect it not to be able to do things that it's
full-fledged money-grubbing cousin can. =)
