Everytime I startup it asks me to go and update my definition files. How do I
do that? I have checked everything I can think of, have even gone to download
updates, and I still have the problem. When I do a search of my computer it
can not find any definition files. Thank you for your help!

What asks you to update definitions?
Sounds like some sort of AntiVirus or AntiSpyware application - so check
with it - not with Windows.

I don't have this problem. However, just to satisfy my own curiosity, I
consulted Help & Support. Evidently one of the MS security products use
definition files, and Help & Support tells what to do. MS update is
supposed to supply updates to these definition files.

Node32 and ZA also use the name "definition files" for the databases that
each of the products need. You get updated files from each of the
companies.

In all likelihood, the OP needs to update each of the security products that
his system is using.
